Your school will make it clear if you have to repay the grant. If you received a federal grant, like the Pell Grant, and left school before the academic year was over, Kantrowitz says you may have to repay part of that grant. You also can switch to an income-driven repayment (IDR) plan, which may significantly decrease your monthly payment. If you can’t afford to do that, you can request a deferment or apply for forbearance. Once the grace period is over, you’ll have to start making payments on your student loans. ![]() ![]() I don’t fault Square Enix for diversifying their product on multiple platforms, but I don’t feel it was worth sacrificing the far superior atmosphere found in the original Final Fantasy Tactics in the process – if that was the reason for its abandonment. I’m sure that the jump from Playstation to Nintendo had something to do with this tonal shift, but was it really necessary? New isn’t inherently bad – Final Fantasy, for better or worse, has opted for “new” with almost every new mainline entry – but there is just so much potential for expansion on the original Tactic’s narrative that it feels bad knowing it has been confined to a dusty closet for over two decades now. Look, I have nothing against NeverEnding Story but the jump from the realistic, politically charged campaign of Tactics to one with kids throwing snowballs at each other (in the prologue) was a bit too much. To my surprise, Tactics Advance would blaze its own path in the Ivalice universe rather than working off the rich lore established in Final Fantasy Tactics, instead centering around… a group of kids with a magical book. The game was well received and would be a financial success, though not on the same level as the original game. They Chose…Poorlyįinal Fantasy Tactics Advance was released roughly five years after the Western release of Final Fantasy Tactics, sharing many characteristics with its predecessor while introducing some new systems, such as the game-changing “Laws” mechanic that would force players to adapt to strict rulesets on each battlefield. So, what happened to it? Who can really say, for certain, though I can speculate on where things went wrong and what may become of the franchise – if anything – in the future. While the world of Ivalice has remained alive thanks to its influence and presence in other titles – most recently, Final Fantasy XIV – the actual Tactics branch of games has been silent for over five years now. For the better part of two decades, Square Enix would go on to release three additional titles under the Tactics umbrella, though each subsequent game would prove to perform worse than the one before it, and none would ever come close to achieving the success or adoration brought about by the grandfather of the franchise.Īnd then, nothing. Not only that, it would do well enough to spiral out into its own full-fledged subseries thereafter. ![]() Led by Yasumi Matsuno, mastermind behind the Ogre Battle series, Tactics would release in 1997 to universal acclaim, quickly becoming a favorite among the RPG community and easily attaining the “Greatest Hits” label on the original Playstation. Purchasing the " Premium Travel Pack" for five bucks from the Xbox Store will lower all crafting material requirements to ONE for each material in a recipe, which can significantly lower the time required to grind out materials for this achievement since some recipes can require up to ten of a single material normally. There are a total of 103 weapons in the game that can be crafted, but only 100 are required for this achievement. Remember to reference the guide I linked above for that. The video below shows all the fishing spots and what can be caught there, but doesn't go into detail on which lures to use for each unfortunately. Larger fish can have an extra stamina bar to deplete, but the process remains the same. Continue this process to eventually land the fish. As the fish loses stamina, it'll jump out of the water and you'll then be prompted to press the proper button to reduce its stamina further. To actually catch a fish, you'll need to move your thumbstick in the same direction the fish is swimming. ![]() If a fish is listed as an "easy catch" in that guide, you should equip that lure to entice it more than the other fish that can spawn. The guide HERE has a list of all rods and lures in the game. Some fishing spots have overlapping combos, and having the right lure equipped can alter this to make a specific fish more attracted than the others. Use the correct combo to try and get the fish you want. Press the correct combo in time with the green circle on the left and you'll notice some fish jump closer than others, where simply mashing any button will have them all move slowly at about the same speed. When you cast, you can press a specific button combination which will entice some fish more than others. The trick to this is getting the right fish to spawn. The guide HERE has a list of every fishing spot and which fish can be caught in each location. The ability to fish will unlock about halfway through the main story, and you will need to visit a total of 12 locations to find all the different fish. There are a total of 44 fish to catch for this achievement. Thankfully nothing in the game is permanently missable! You can mop up the remainder of anything missed in the next step. You don't need 100% on the skits, recipes, skills, enemies, or crafting for instance - but still nearly 90% or more for each, so be thorough. The game gives you a bit of leeway to miss some things for the final completion, but not a lot. Complete any subquests you can, as the extra money and SP will help for crafting weapons and leveling your characters. Also keep the requirements for unlocking the skill panels/titles in the back of your mind as well, as completing each panels give a permanent stat boost. There is no long term negative effects from playing on easy, though you will earn more XP/SP on higher difficulties. You will want to collect owls, artifacts, and recipes as you go, and be sure to hit the prompts to initiate skits to get them out of the way during the story, though you can knock them all out at a campfire later if you wish. Your first focus should be to complete the story, which you can do on any difficulty you'd like. The "Growth Boost Pack" could be helpful in the early game as it doubles CP/XP/SP gains to make the first half of the game easier before you get the in-game artifcats later on. The others are nice, but in-game artifacts are available to boost SP and XP gains, and you won't be buying much from the general store, so the others are far from necessary. I personally only bought the "Premium Traveler Pack" to get the artifact that lowers all crafting requirements. Oh, and nicely the DLC packs work for both the Xbox One and Xbox Series versions of the games independently, so you only need to purchase them once to get the benefit in both achievement lists. None of it is required by any means, but we're also talking somewhere in the range of 5-10 hours less grinding depending on how much you spend. You can purchase a total of 40 character levels, 400k gald (money), and packs that contain artifacts that will cut down prices in shops, the materials required to craft weapons, etc. There are a number of premium DLCs you can purchase to speed up the completion for this game. ![]() ![]() ![]() When the eyes flash, they send a beam of light toward the stage. Meowth statues are a bit like Mother from the Gamer stage. At the very least, Jessie and James are canon now. so Meowth would have more stuff from the games to build a Smash moveset instead of using the anime mechas and Wobbuffet (I would use them to build a Smash moveset if they become canon in the games). That is also why I started asking for Jessie and James to appear in more Pokémon games. ![]() That is why I started suggesting the whole Meowth & Team Rocket idea where Meowth would team up with Ekans and Koffing (or Arbok and Weezing). Meowth, as a stand alone Pokémon, have not caught Sakurai’s eye. But what about a fighting style? Meowth needs something that would catch Sakurai’s eye. So far, the Pokémon Company have given Meowth potential alternate costumes (Alolan and Galarian forms) and a potential Final Smash (Gigantamax Meowth). Meowth & Team Rocket appearing in Let’s Go was a good start but I hope they will continue making appearances in future Pokémon games, whether they are main games or spin-off games.
